About me and my why:

My name is Jill Moore. I set this site up for my students as an instructional tool. This site gives my students the ability to choose what they would like to work on when they come to my class. Creating my lessons on video has eliminated any downtime between lessons, allows students the freedom to work at their own pace and on the subject of their choice for personalized learning within my art class. Students can now pause, rewind, replay, and/or mute my lessons on video to better accommodate their needs. I designed these lessons and demonstrations for my student's age and demographics, but I also am happy to allow anyone the use these for their own ideas or as their own instructional tool for their art class.

I have been teaching art for 10 years at Star City Middle School. The type of art in my class is usually drawing, painting, sculpture, and paper arts (at this point we do not do ceramics). Over the years my students and I have created quite a large collection of examples and I am ONLY using artwork on this site that has been created by me or my students.

At home the types of art I usually work on are fabric arts. It is a strong passion of mine and I love to share it with others. I find it difficult to teach knitting and crochet to a large group of students. I am going to add fabric art pages and see if my students can learn better than me running around 20 students trying to show each one (while I pull my hair out).
