Time: 2-3 classes
This project is a drawing that repeats a design around a point to create a radially balanced artwork.
Materials:
square paper drawing paper (any size)
Pencil
protractor
ruler
sharpie marker
light table
drawing materials

Step 1:
Place a dot where you think is about the middle of your page.
Use a protractor to measure the angles around your dot. You may use whatever measurements you choose, the more, the smaller the sections your design will have, the fewer the bigger.
Measurements: 15, 30, 45, 90, 105, 120, 135, 150, 165, 180.
Click here if you would rather do 12 sections rather than 24.
Step 2:
Draw your design in ONE section only. Trace with a sharpie marker IF YOU WANT, it will make it much easier to trace.
Step 3:
Repeat folding and tracing until your design is complete. WATCH THE VIDEO!!

1. Complete and color your mandala.
