Before you complete this project you should first complete the contour/gesture line drawing assignments.
Time
2-3 class periods
This lesson is simply creating art you enjoy. Pick any technique, any media to create a work of art of an animal, bug, or any critter you can think of and prefer to draw. Although this is a drawing assignment, the project could be painted with acrylic or watercolor, everything is your choice. If you are going to paint on your paper be sure to use either poster board or paint paper.

Step by Step Instructions
1. Draw the Positive Space (Critter/Animal).
2. Use Shading and do not forget to add a background of your choice!
Assignment:
1. Create a drawing of any animal, bug, reptile, bird, or fish of your choice. Include: shading and a background (go natural or maybe think outside of the box!).
2. Upload your work to your portfolio in artsonia under "Critter".
