This painting is created with many dots. By the time the dots reach your brain to interpret what you are seeing the colors blend. If you combine blue and yellow dots it will appear green from a distance.

Step by Step Instructions
Level 1
Pointillism Color Wheel
1. Get a foam tray and pour a small amount of red, yellow, and blue acrylic paint. Follow the instructions on the video to create a pointillism color wheel on a small square piece of paint paper.

2. Separate your paper into three equal sections, label red, yellow and blue.

3. Use a q-tip to paint the primary dots in the appropriate sections. Overlap each color over the lines to create the secondary colors violet, green, and orange.
4. Upload your work into your e-portfolio in artsonia under "pointillism color wheel".

Level 2
Pointillism Painting
1. Find a good picture of the subject you would like to paint. Note: the subject could be anything, but this painting's main focus is shading.

2. Add black and white to your pallet and paint! Take your time, try your best, and enjoy yourself!
