This lesson creates a strong contrast between the black construction paper and the bright tissue paper colors with the sunlight shining through in the window imitating real stained glass.
​
Materials:
one piece of black construction paper
tissue paper (many colors)
glue
brush
scissors
x-acto knife
cutting mat
light table
ruler
white color pencil/crayon

Step by Step Instructions:
1. With your black construction paper, draw a border all around the edge (around half an inch).
​
2. Color in the border with white.
​
3. Decide on what to draw - something that can have a bold, black outline between each color.
​
4. Create a border that connects the subject to the border, with few large empty spaces.
​
5. Color in the outlines with white.
​
6. Cut away the inside pieces (ones not colored in with white).
​
7. Attach tissue to the white colored side using the light table to trace.
